Mead is an alcoholic beverage created by fermenting honey with various fruits and spices. It is the oldest fermented beverage known to man with evidence dating to 7000 BC. Meads have been present in various cultures through the ages - the Vikings drank it before battle, ancient Indian texts mentioned it and Greek and Roman historians have discussed it. There have also been numerous references in literature, from Shakespeare and Lord of the Rings to Harry Potter and even Game of Thrones. The last decade has seen a resurgence that has taken this versatile archaic drink out of history and into the limelight as the fastest growing craft beverage in the world.
This is a coffee lover’s delight and our first signature style. The Coffee Mead is made by cold steeping artisanally roasted coffee from Karnataka into a multifloral honey mead, thereby extracting the distinct natural coffee aroma and flavour.
Made with multifloral honey and apples from Kashmir, our Apple Cyder Mead is semi dry and refreshing. While the taste profile is similar to a classic cider, the honey adds a layer of floral complexity.
The Traditional Mead is made with specially procured single source honey (Ajwain honey, Berry honey and Rosewood honey being some examples). This unique style is the closest you can get to the historic meads of yore, just the way our ancestors drank it.
